Q.

How can a product based on patterning/pattern recognition, help people who are suffering from memory loss?

What are the best brain exercises to help improve memory?
How can pattern be a stimulus for brain?
What are the daily problems patients face with, when suffering from dementia?
How does pattern effect the way we process movements?
What triggers memory the most, touch, smell sight?
What are the cognitive practices that could be placed during the period before dementia becomes severe?
What are the limitations for teaching an elder person new practices?
How can pattern be incorporated with brian exercises?
How can pattern be incorporated into sequence and memory of events?
How can pattern be incorporated with daily activities to help brain activity?

  1. wow, neelima, I am totally ready to enter the brave new world you are suggesting here. I completely concur that the brain is controlled by patterns and that we think in patterns. In fact, the moment of creative inspiration is usually triggered by the sudden recognition of a pattern in (apparently) unrelated events or facts. Maybe our ability to recognize complex patterns is what sets us apart from animals, and this capability was developed through evolution. Early people had to be able to spot patterns in order to survive, for example, they had to realize that the heavenly bodies were following some kind of pattern in order to learn how to do agriculture (I just made that up).

You should start reading about Gestalt psychology and Rudolf Arnheim (once a professor at the New School).
