How do you give people control over negative elements in their environment that they may not know is directly impacting (positively/negatively) them?

What is the typically workspace division for cubicles and offices? Percentage?

How much square footage is being allocated to group workspaces/individual/rest areas?

What coping strategies for stress do people use at the office?

How many hours a day are lost due to a lack of productivity?

How many days a year are allocated to absenteeism and sick days?

What is the optimal level of light for efficient working conditions?

What are the most stressful months for workers?

What current products on the market focus on workplace stress?

How much does stress cost the industry a year in medical related costs?

What is the future of worker styles with the Millenial generation? How will this work in combination with Generation X and Generation Y?

    very interesting list of research questions. It sounds like you are talking about redesigning the workspace to bring it up to date; it could be that the existing paradigm for working at the computer should change to suit our lifestyle. In the future, we might have a completely different way of interacting with data. But with the introduction of gestural interfaces like microsoft Kinect, it seems reasonable that people will no longer have to use a mouse sitting in front of a monitor, but could interact in ways similar to the movie Minority Report. I recommend that you look into the future and create a conceptual product that assumes the existence of some technology that doesn't currently exist, but reasonably could in the not-too-distant future.
