Andrew, I am really enthusiastic about your project, in part because I admire your choice of objects as models. I agree that there is something deeply satisfying about these things, especially the mortar and pestle and the hammers. I think they have a modern sensibility, and some very beautiful pieces could be generated based on these forms. I recommend taking a look at what some modernist painters wrote about primitive art in the mid twentieth century.
