    I have been thinking a lot about your idea, and I have concluded that it could work! It is such a simple idea for how to make it easier for delusional people to tell the difference between real things and artifacts of their psychosis. I think that your inspiration here comes from really thinking deeply about the life of the person for whom you want to create the product. That's empathy. I think you need to continue in this way. For example, you should take into account that people with these illnesses are taking a lot of medication, and that might affect their mental state. Controls and interface elements will have to be kept very simplified, I would guess, because people can become lethargic or disoriented, probably.

    For this project, the key is going to be to become very knowledgeable about the inside lives of the insane, including very dangerous lunatics and criminals. I recommend looking into the art collection of the Prinzhorn Collection of paintings by patients in an institution in Germany from early 20th century.

    Are you imagining that people in institutions will be using this, or only on the outside?
