wow, min, that is really profound, the way you compress the history of technology into a few key moments, then show how the result of our exposure to a lot of mass media is (ironically)our increasing isolation.
I am intrigued and want to know more about what this means for the future? How much more inward-focused is it possible to become, or will there be a back-lash?
your job as a designer, preposterous though it sounds, is to predict what the world will be like in five years, and then provide that hypothetical future with things that you think they will want you can say that product design is like writing speculative fiction. You have to imagine scenarios within which your product can exist, and then ruthlessly evaluate the liklihood of those things happening. Good Luck. steven
